VA disability claims are applications submitted to the VA requesting that an illness or disability which occurred in or was aggravated by service be recognized by the VA. There are three critical elements which must be present to submit a disability claim; service in the military, a medically diagnosed disability, and a link or nexus to the Veteran’s service.
The VA Veterans Pension program provides monthly payments to wartime Veterans who meet certain age or disability requirements, and who have income and net worth within certain limits.
The VA Survivors Pension program provides monthly payments to qualified surviving spouses and unmarried dependent children of wartime Veterans who meet certain income and net worth limits set by Congress.
VA Aid and Attendance or Housebound benefits provide monthly payments added to the amount of a monthly VA pension for qualified Veterans and survivors.
If you're a veteran, you might be eligible for health care through the VA. VA Health care can be accessed if Veterans have a serviced connected disability or if they meet other eligibility criteria.
A VA Veteran ID Card (or VIC) is valuable if you are a veteran. With this card, you can enjoy discounts at many businesses including restaurants, hotels, and stores. The VIC is also a handy form of photo identification. So whether you're looking to take advantage of veterans' discounts or just need a quick and easy way to show proof of your identity, the Veteran ID Card is the perfect solution. We can help you with the application process to make sure everything goes smoothly.
It is essential for all Veterans and their families to have military discharge documents. Without these documents, it is virtually impossible to apply for any VA benefits. We can help Veterans or family members submit requests for copies of military discharge documents as well as provide assistance if Veterans or family members believe the characterization of discharge should be changed due to extenuating or mitigating circumstances.
